A trip to a football tournament needs to be well planned. To make sure you are as well prepared as possible and can answer any questions parents may have, you will find the most important questions and answers on this page.
You can bring as many players as you like. It would be a shame if someone had to stay at home for such a tournament. If you have such a large squad that you want to enter several teams, this is possible after consultation.
The prices do not include travel. We recommend you to be mobile on site, as we cannot offer a shuttle service from the accommodation to the tournament. If you do not have a car, we will be happy to make you an offer for travel by bus or train.
We offer almost all accommodations with half board, i.e. you get a rich breakfast in the morning and in the evening. To make sure you are also well provided for at lunchtime, you will find various food trucks on site for a small snack in between.
If there are still places available, we would be very happy if you could make this special tournament a final trip for the whole club. Of course, you can also pass this information on to your fellow coaches.
Our tournaments are suitable for any team, even if you rate yourself a little higher or lower. Regardless, each team has 6 games, no matter how they perform. In general, the tournament is an ideal way to end the season, where the focus is on fun and a sense of community. Experience an unforgettable tournament with your team and enjoy an exciting tournament in combination with a colourful supporting programme.
As we want to offer all participants the greatest possible flexibility, accommodation will be announced approx. 2-4 weeks before the start of the tournament.
In all tournaments, both whole girls' teams and individual girls can play with the boys. The girls may be up to one year older than the boys.
All tournament rules will be sent out a few weeks before the tournament and stored in the Ballfreunde app. If desired, they can also be sent beforehand. By participating, all clubs accept the tournament rules.
You can reach us at any time via all contact channels. We will be happy to send you the requested information and the registration link below. You can use this link to register bindingly in just a few steps and we will send you a confirmation of registration as soon as possible. With this confirmation, you are officially registered for our special tournaments.
The BALLFREUNDE travel insurance helps you with this. Secure your booking with the travel insurance and don't take any risks in case of illness, injury, quarantine or other illness-related absences. Upon presentation of a medical certificate, all participation fees already paid will be refunded.
There is no fixed registration deadline, but we recommend that you start planning as early as possible, as many tournaments are booked up early. We are also happy to reserve a starting place for a desired period.
To ensure the greatest possible flexibility, the number of participants can be adjusted by +- 10% free of charge 10 weeks before the start of the tournament. However, we recommend that you take out BALLFREUNDE travel insurance to cover absences due to illness. You can find more information on this at: https://www.ballfreunde.com/de/reisekostenabsicherung/
Parents or siblings are welcome to accompany you to the tournament - with the right fan club, the tournament is even more fun. Of course, we will accommodate you all in one room if you wish, after all, you want to experience the tournament together.
If you are interested in our tournaments, you can either organise a club evening in your club or take part in an already organised club evening. We come to your club and present the variety of our tournaments in a relaxed atmosphere.
During the club evening, you will have the opportunity to spend a pleasant evening with other coaches and a Ballfreunde staff member. During this evening, you will be introduced to selected tournament venues and all open questions will be answered.
Participation is possible by taking part in an already organised evening in your area or by setting up a club evening yourself (with the help of the Ball Friends). After a successful registration following such an evening, a surprise awaits you! Alternatively, it is of course also possible for a Ballfriend to join your parents' evening digitally and be available to answer any questions.
Yes, that is not a problem. If, for example, the coaches and the team want to sleep together in the school and the rest of the parents in a hotel, you can simply split the booking into two categories.
Depending on the game schedule and your own mobility on site, you can organise your free time yourself. It is best to check the app, which is always up to date. The time between matches on the same day should be spent at the tournament site to ensure fairness towards the other teams and to stick to the tournament schedule.
If you are a coach of a team that is not from the Schengen area, you need a visa. To help you with this, we have developed 2 forms that you both need to fill out. We will then issue you with an official invitation and a pre-registration confirmation. Basically, we do not accept any registrations before you have received your visa! Further information can be found here: https://www.ballfreunde.com/de/visa-guide/
We play on a 7-a-side field: min. 35 x 55 metres and on a 9-a-side field: 50 x 70 metres. In both cases we play on 5 x 2 metre goals. In Funino we play on 32 x 25 metres and we play on 4 mini-goals that are 12-14 metres apart. For the large field dimensions, we follow the official DFB rules.
In beach handball, the pitch is 27 x 12 metres and the goals are 2 metres high and 3 metres wide.
